1. Sell the MCX and buy a Virtus upper with AR adapter. 2. Buy a Virtus upper and keep MCX legacy upper (less likely since most expensive option) 3. Buy AR adapter and 9 inch 300 blackout barrel+handguard. 4. Sell everything and just buy a 300 pistol from factory. I already have a virtus in 556 so I would be swapping the upper at the range for fun. Never shot 300blk before guess it makes sense to feel like 762x39 since it's pretty similar. My PWS in 762x39 has a lot of recoil compared to my 223 one. MCX has adjustable gas block so should be easy to manage like the PWS.Posted by u/Maximus_Ballsackus - 48 votes and 39 commentsThe Virtus and SPEAR-LT uppers are significantly "wider" and protrude out over the sides of the lower receiver when using a standard AR. I have not run into any function issues using either upper on the AR lower, however, the forward assist housing screws are clearly visible when mounted on a standard AR lower.
