It was designated as a national historic landmark in 1964, later being marked "at risk" due to weather erosion.This state park has what California state leadership has totally dropped the ball on - campgrounds that can accommodate our 35’ fifth wheel & the amenities what should be provided based on the fees they assess. This is a very nice facility that Kansas should be proud of. Visited August 2022. Traveled as a couple.
